Dog Walking
Our walks at Barking Dad are based on you and your dogs needs, for example, on some walks we can cycle with the younger more energetic dogs to burn that extra bit of energy, or have nice flat walks for the older generation. We offer solo and group walks (never more than four dogs per walk), again depending on whether your dog is happy to socialise, or would prefer to be the centre of attention!
We start with an initial meeting where I meet you and your dog and we can discuss your expectations. The first walk with your dog will always be a solo walk so that we can get to know your dog a little better before introducing it to its new companions!
As an extra option, we have a private Facebook group where I will post pictures of your dog while we are out and about, and let you know where we have been and what we have gotten up to! I can also offer text alerts at pick up and drop off so that you know your dog is back home, safe and sound.
Walks are available in one hour slots. We have a limited amount of 30 minute slots as we find this really limits where we are able to take the dogs so please contact us if this is a requirement. Discounts are available for 3+ walks a week, please see the pricing page for more details.
Puppy Pop In
Barking Dads Puppy Pop In service is a 30 minute service where we pop in to visit your puppy and make sure it is happy and safe. Within this 30 minute slot we can change any training pads, fill up food/water (as pre-arranged with you) and play with them inside or outside. We offer a unique service where we can facilitate any visits to the vets for injections or check ups.
As an extra option, we have a private Facebook group where I will post pictures of your puppy during our visit, and let you know what your puppy has been getting up to! I can also offer text alerts to let you know that we have been to visit to keep your mind at ease.
Wedding Day
Barking Dad provides a bespoke wedding package depending on how you would like your dog to spend the most amazing day of your life. We really to go to town on this service, and treat your dog like the main man/lady they are. We have previously taken dogs out to Kielder for the day, but have been known to climb Old Man in Coniston also!!
Before your big day, we meet with you and your dog to have a chat about what you would love us to do with your dog. We then go away and design a bespoke package and send this to you for approval. We always take your dog for a one hour walk before your wedding day to get some bonding time in, which then means if we do have any questions we can ask you well in advance. This walk will be included in your package price.
As an extra option, we can send you pictures of your dog enjoying its day out, and let you know what we have been getting up to! I can also offer text alerts to let you know that we have been to pick up your dog, and also when we have dropped it off, to keep your mind at ease (although by that point hopefully you will be merry on champagne and dropping some moves on the dance floor).
This service is very popular and books up quickly during wedding season, so please contact us early to avoid disappointment.
Please note, we take a non refundable 50% deposit on booking this service, with full payment due two weeks before your big day.
Please note we are fully insured to walk your dog and are also DBS checked.
